Re: Hand Four $20 UB MTT --- Kings
I would call. Yes, it's possible you're up against Aces. But early in low buy-in tourneys it's also very possible you're up against AK, QQ, even JJ. I'd look at this as a great opportunity to more than triple up. If I lose, I'd just start up another tourney without wasting a lot of time. If I win, I'm in great position.

Re: Hand Four $20 UB MTT --- Kings
The short answer is that if you never, ever, ever, ever fold KK preflop you will rarely, if ever be making a mistake.
I cannot get my chips in here fast enough. Like every other hand decision, you put your opponents on a range of hands and decide if the pot is laying you the right odds. In this case the pot is laying you ~2:1 and against 2 opponents who hand range I put at #1) AA-88,AK,AQ and #2) AA-QQ,AK you still have 45% pot equity (according to pokerstove) so its a clear call. My hand ranges are pretty tight, but that was just to prove that even against tight opponents, you have to call here as you are getting the right price. Regards, Woodguy |
