You forgot 9. THe players are really really bad.

No, 9 is that there are women who bring you beer. When I try this online at home, she just yells at me to get it myself.

I don't have any experience playing the 4/8 there, but the 10/20 is just as soft as the 3/6 at the Gold Strike

[/ QUOTE ]

Really? That's an amazing statement to me. I wonder if this is the general case when comparing a 3/6 game to a 10/20 one.

4. Nice comps for playing poker for a few hours.

This of course depends on the room. Typically it's about a buck an hour for poker, if that. Poker isn't known for its fantastic comps.

Note to original poster: Tunica is probably the most generous place in the country for poker room comps, don't expect the giveaways to be quite as nice if you go elsewhere.

You forgot to mention people acting out of turn.

This and telegraphs are a couple of my favorite things about live play. When the weak-tight guy to your left raises out of turn it's oh-so-easy to muck your marginal holding preflop. When half the table to your left is telegraphing folds it's easier to raise

I played 4/8 at HS Saturday afternoon, night, and early Sunday morn...it was a very tight table....folded to the blinds 3 hands in a row at one point.

I really need to use better table selection in the B&M, but for some reason, when I'm at the casino, I just tend to stay at the table.

By the way the HS is nice, but I think the GS is an ok place.

They run a great room at HS, but I honestly have to say, the table I was at Saturday was the least enjoyable live experience I've ever had....I don't know what it is about poker that brings the worst out in people, but I played with a bunch of a**holes.

Funny, because I just played the 4/8 at HS and it was pretty loose with some irrational players. Only played for 2.5 hours - wish it could have been longer.

The new room there opens 4/5 I believe...

I normally play 6/12 at the borgata. this weekend, I stepped up to 10/20 for the first time. I don't know if it was just my table, but the game was softer than the 3 6/12 tables I had been playing on. Maybe I was lucky, but I was amazed at how loose and passive it was. A lot of action junkies I guess who want to win for 200+ pots rather than the 50 at 3/6. Just one of many examples - I had AK utg, raised... we saw the flop 7 handed.

3. A lot of people just leave their chips unatttended while they go eat. And it doesn't seem to be a problem at all.

[/ QUOTE ]

It is a bit strange the first time you leave thousands of dollars on the table and simply walk away to have dinner.

I don't know if the guy misunderstood my question but he told me last night it would be 2 - 3 months.
