Lendale generaly does not gets consistent carries (for obvious reasons) and pretty much always gets the ball in short yardage spots vs/ stacked d's, often on inside runs.

For example, v fresno he got carries on 1 and goal (5 yrd TD), 3rd and 2 (stuffed no gain), 2nd and 1 (2 yrd gain), 2nd and 1 (no gain), 3rd and 1 (2 yrd TD). White also had a 6 yard run on first down, an 8 yard run on 2nd and 8 and 2 catches of 9 and 5 yards on first down. I'll agree his notre dame performance was not so good.

His stats are sometimes misleading. While the usc o-line is unreal and he is no reggie bush, Lendale White is a great college running back. For a game USC may not win without White, check ASU. Its also not coincidental White got consistent carries in that game.
