Re: Hot Keys for Party network
Yeah, autohotkeys is tons of fun until you end up accidentally folding pocket kings short stacked near the bubble.

Re: Hot Keys for Party network
I'm going to second the recommendation of autoHotkey. It's allowing me to manage >4 tables with a laptop and the reg'lar computer. A few comments:
- For those with laptops (i.e. lacking the separate num keypad), you can configure something like nums 1 through 5 for fold/check/raise/autoPost/dealOut. Then, you can set 'w' & 'e' for 'left' & 'right'. So with your left hand you can easily manage 2 tables. - Also, if you add 'alt' before these keys, then you can keep your thumb on alt while doing any commands. This allows you to still enter numbers for no limit or numeric notes on players, and not accidently do a mouse move or command. - And someone above said that it's risky cuz a window might pop-up and you act on that one by accident. This does not happen. The design is such, that if a new window activates before you strike the key, the originally selected window still is controlled. - And for folding pocket KK's by accident. Yeah, I did it too. Swore it off. Then, got over it, tried it again, and once you get the hang of it, you rarely make mistakes. Just like learning to not click anywhere near the "command zone" (i.e. fold/check/raise) when you're layering/managing multiple windows. |
