Default Should I have folded?

22 people left in tournament, blinds are 6/12 thousand, I am one of the lower stacks ~40,000, chip leader is to my left and raising pushing all-in constantly...the few times he has shown down his cards, they aren't great, K9, Q10 etc...I am in BB with A8 off suit, he raises enough to for me to need to go all-in if I decide to call.......anyway, I call, he has KJ and gets a jack on the flop, I never improve and am out 22nd. My question is, should I have folded this hand and waited for a better spot since I was almost out of the blinds and could have seen 8 more starting hands for free?

No, you need to gamble here. Period. You've already put around 30% of your stack in blind, so you're getting monster odds to call someone as loose as this guy. You even got to put your chips in as a favorite. Sorry it didn't work out.
