Default bubble push

I had just doubled the hand before. I knew i was posting this as soon as I pushed. I really was not sure what to do.

Hero (t1030)
Button (t4580)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
Hero raises to t1005, 1 fold, SB calls t905, 1 fold.

Flop: (t1985) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)

Turn: (t1985) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)

I don't like it. A4 is a hand that doesn't really beat anything too well and is in deep trouble to a lot of the hands that call it. I don't think you need to worry about BB's blind not getting raised. Your stack is short enough that your only concern here is to lock up third. This is how you want this hand and the next hand to go:

1. fold fold allin fold
2. fold allin fold fold

Now shorty is in deep trouble with 585 chips and you're surviving with over 700 after you fold your SB next hand. Shorty will be forced allin before you are.

You could argue this hand is a push with any 2. You have 5 bb's and you're about to eat the blinds. You have got to play better than the other short stack and trying to outlast him by folding is not the best way to accomplish that. This is a clear push.

I think, iF it was short as party stacks a push here is alright but with the 7000 and 4000 stacks I think this is a fold. There is little chance that you could move up from third even if you double up. I would be conservative and try to slide into the money if you can.

Why do you have to play better than the short stack? You just have to do nothing and he'll be forced allin before you.
