What the thread title said, basicly. 3rd or 4th hand of the SnG, no reads. Villain took down last hand raising to 100 preflop with KK, no callers. He showed.

Not often enough for you to not call...I would auto call at the 16s (and more)

Avoid these difficult decisions by folding pre-flop.

Unless I have a strong read, I call this. He'll have a ten, a set, or two pair as often as a higher flush. Heck, I've seen aces played this way at the 16s.

OK, but what's your play if someone made a pot size bet after you checked that flop?

I don't have a problem with playing these hands, but if you are playing them it's because you think you'll get paid off when you do hit. You've hit. If you're not going to call here, there was no reason to play the hand in the first place.

That's why I would fold it pre-flop. I realize you're getting good odds to call, assuming the BB doesn't decide to steal. It seems that most times when you catch a piece of the flop, like here, someone else will like the flop enough to bet it pretty strongly, unlike here.

I guess I didn't answer your original question, though if you do play it, you probably have to call.
