MP (Villain) is tight-passive. He does not see many flops.

If Villain is really tight-passive then his line absolutely reeks of a set. Call his flop raise, lead the turn, fold to further aggression.

Yes, I absolutely agree. That was my mistake. I should've led the turn with a strong bet.

His turn bet, IMO, makes it clear he wasn't on a draw and instead has a set. I'd bet/fold the turn instead of check/calling because I realy don't think this is a way ahead/way behind situation. More like a slightly ahead/way behind situation.
