Default Raising BB from SB

Just wondering what you guys think about my betting and calling from the SB. New to the table, didn't know much about opponent's play.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.5 BB (10 handed) converter

UTG+2 ($53.25)
MP1 ($48.5)
MP2 ($61.4)
MP3 ($54.85)
CO ($28.8)
Button ($49.25)
Hero ($49.5)
BB :#A500AF(villain)/ ($76.75)
UTG ($50)
UTG+1 ($48.3)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">8 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB :#A500AF(villain)/ raises to $3</font>, Hero calls $2.

Flop: ($6) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $3</font>, villain calls $3.

Turn: ($12) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, villain checks.

River: ($12) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">villain bets $7</font>, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $19

Default Re: Raising BB from SB

A raise first in from SB with a suited ace is fine. However, don't min.raise. The basic reason you raise this is to steal his blind. A min.bet has zero to none folding equity.

I'd probably fold to his raise, buit I would not be in the situation.
