U.S players not allowed to play on WPT online tables??

From WPT online verification page "This gaming site only accepts Real Money players who live in countries where online gambling is legal." Elsewhere it lists the US as one of the countries not allowed to play there. Whats the deal? As far as I knew it was a gray area, and I had not heard of any sites which refused US players (I think Will Hill used to?)

This suprised me. I was excited when I heard about their poker room. Seems like a place full of little gus hansens.
