Default blind battle TPTK

let me preface this by saying this guy was VERY loose preflop, and had been seeing the majority of flops with hands like K4o, Q8, etc. his call preflop meant that he had a random hand, ranging from AA- 72o. How did i play this?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (4 handed) converter

UTG ($9.65)
Button ($19.55)
Hero ($34.90)
BB ($26.80)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.75, BB calls $0.50.

Flop: ($1.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $1.25, BB raises to $2.5, Hero raises to $6, BB raises to $9.5, Hero calls $3.50.

Turn: ($20.50) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks.

River: ($20.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks.

Final Pot: $20.50

This is a fun exercise.

Explain your thinking and the reason behind your actions on every street. I think if you sit down and think about why you made each play you did that you will get a lot more out of it than you will if someone just tells you how to play the hand. Once you explain your reasoning and logic then people can help you out with the hand, based on what you think you're trying to do.

ok preflop, i want to start building a pot against this terrible player.

on the flop, my bet was for value/protection. when he min raised, his range of hands was so wide, i needed to put in a third bet to find out where i was. again, he reraised, causing me to just call and be happy to check it down (giving him (or me) free cards)
