QQ checking the turn
Party 3/6
EP limps, MP raises, I 3-bet in LMP with Black Queens. Blinds fold, both call. Flop is the beautiful: K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Checked to me, I bet. Both call. Turn: 4c Checked to me, I check. River is not a Club, A, K, or Q. EP bets, MP folds, I call. Routine? |

Re: QQ checking the turn
Yup, and I'd bet if checked to. Not sure if I raise a river bet if the 3rd king falls, but I probably would. I suppose I would fold to an A on the river.

Re: QQ checking the turn
I like it. You risk giving a free card to the A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and any pps, but that's a max of 13 outs against your queens. Weigh that against the times you're behind and the bets you gain my inducing river bluffs and you end up with your play.
One other thought: Playing it like this, no matter which way the showdown goes I feel like I win. When someone shows the flush or kings, you can bet he's kicking himself and will be less likely to c/r you later on. |

Re: QQ checking the turn
Bet the turn. Maybe you win it right there. If you get check-raised then you know you are beat and can lay it down. If they are still around they either have you beat or they are drawing without good odds (unless one has the A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]) I don't like giving a free card there.

Re: QQ checking the turn
Nope Nottom had to check behind on the turn because he held the Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], and couldnt lay it down to a CR.
