Default In which our hero, Dids, struggles against fear and temptation

Party 5/10.

K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG +1

UTG flops, I raise, folded to the BB who calls. He's lousy loose/pretty agressive and short stacked but beyond that not a huge read.

Flop 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

He checks, I bet, he raises, I 3-bet, He caps.

Turn:

T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

He bets, I raise, he 3-bets, I call? (at this point he's got 2.3 bets infront of him)

River A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

He checks, I check ?

Once he checks, I really want to value bet the river, and given his stack I think I should have just plowed ahead on the turn. That said, from what I'd seen from the guy before, once he raised the turn he sure seemed like the type that would play his one pair hands a bit slower.

I cave into temptation and try to finish him off. He's likely tilting to some degree and making some kind of desparation play with a weak holding. At least that's been my experience against short stacked players. Plus if he's got a hand you only stand to lose what he can cover.

The thing is that if he's got hand, I'll likely lose exactly what I would have lost anyway. The issue is more what you say earlier, that this is what short stacked players do in these spots, spew until all-in.

without consideration to his stack size, i play it the same as you did. except i bet the river.

with consideration to his stack size, i dont stop raising until he folds or is all-in.
