the article that you cite says:

it doesn't mention anything about increased solar activity being responsible for its ice caps melting.

the first article you cite also says:

Dr Solanki said that the brighter Sun and higher levels of "greenhouse gases", such as carbon dioxide, both contributed to the change in the Earth's temperature but it was impossible to say which had the greater impact.

so again, not necessarily due solely to increased solar activity.

You can't blame the warming of Mars climate on the automobile or cement factories. NATURAL CAUSES are responsible for the climate changes on Mars. The global warming cult can NOT rule out NATURAL CAUSES for the global warming on Earth....... The research that the sun burning hotter is one more nail in the shoddy science coming from the global warming cult.

Global warming is occuring and it will cause problems on Earth.
BUT.....we need to stop listening to the wackos like Michael Mann who have falsified data in return for more government research grants. Science should be based on the scientific method....not politics. The more people learn about these crooks robbing the government blind with their false research the better.... We need to learn to adapt to the climate changes on Earth not follow these assinine treaties like Kyoto which will accomplish nothing but increasing unemployment.

I predict within 50 years the global warming cult will be completely exposed as frauds and people will learn that the banning of products like Freon was completely unncessary....

Freon is a chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) that destroys the ozone layer. and I'm pretty sure everyone is in agreement on that one.

CFC's destroy the ozone layer in the stratosphere. The ozone blocks UV light from the sun that can harm us. CFC's were not banned because of global warming, they were banned because they contributed to a hole in the ozone layer.

Global warming (or the theory behind it) is caused by excess levels of CO2 in the atmosphere, which in turn absorb longwave radiation from the earth and do not allow it to escape into space, thus warming the earth.

These are 2 seperate issues.
