So they came up with a promotion that would get you (and everyone else trying to get the prize this way) to recruit 22 new people to set up real money accounts and deposit into them? And you think this makes them stupid?

Yes, considering in my example they end up paying $1,650 in TAF bonuses and $12,500 for the cruise while making about $200 in total rake from my 22 signups. Doesn't take a genius to figure out there's something wrong in all of that.

I doubt Party is on the hook for any cruise spaces. In all probability, they've simply worked out a deal with Holland America and Holland kicked in the cabins for the publicity and sales value. After all, there are probably tons of players, who are playing online poker, who are dying to play a real game with a real shuffle - just to see how it feels.

Party will obviously be losing money to the 20 people that win the seats. The hundreds of people that don't win the seats will be where party makes their dough (as others have said).

Having said that, I agree that it is rediculous that you can use TAF, etc to gain points for this promotion. It should have been limited to points made at the tables.

Party has chartered the whole boat (just like they did last year) so they obviously want to fill it to capacity.

I doubt they are going to fall very short though.

We are electing not to give you the cruise package because we learned that you are only 5-feet-6 and we don't want any midgets on our boat because the liability of something happening to you if the boat has problems are too great. we heard that midgets don't make good swimmers and we think they look kinda freaky too so we kindly request that you just stay the hell home.
