Default \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (9/14)

Tonight's show is scheduled to be their "Whale Game" sponsored by Pokerblue, which is usually 300/600 or 400/800 limit. Last night's show was a repeat of their first "Whale Game" from August 24th, with appearances by Barry Greenstein and Doyle Brunson. In someone's wisdom, this was thought to be a better idea than actually showing live poker. This was further compounded by starting the program 30 minutes late.

Anyways, I'm sure that won't happen tonight, although the lineup may not be a good one, with players like Tuan Le, John Phan, Ted Forrest, etc. are in Vegas with about 100 others in the 10k WSOP Circuit event at Harrah's.

Does Gabe Kaplan do the tourney circuit or just play the ones that are convenient to him? He's been a regular in the L@tB whale game but I've also seen/heard of him playing in some of the tournaments. Just wondering if we're likely to see him on the show tonight.

I couldn't believe it last night, I'm lucky to catch not even a half-dozen episodes a month and that one was a rerun ... but I had to leave, anyway.

Should be around tonight for the night so this better be a good show.

Bedda.
Be.

I've gotten confirmation from Bart, tonight's game is 50-100 NL with a 5000 max buyin.

How do you even play this game. This is like the min300/max500 games with 3-5/5-5 blinds.

It's 50BB -- just like the 1/2 $100 max buy in you might find at Foxwoods ... except more bettererest.

I'm not a huge fan of the shortstack setup they use for this game. Why not make it a 25/50 game with a 5K max buyin? Then there's a little more room for postflop play.
