I don't mind the limp, and I think after the raise you can fold, but I guess calling is oook. After the flop just check/fold each street unless you improve.

I thought that I could make him fold tt-99-ak with this play, is that such a bad play getting 2 to 1 odds on the bet ?

I guess it's ok with that logic... but any time someone makes it 5 big blinds, then checks behind on the flop, I get suspicious. Oh, and I doubt AK folds the turn bet.

I think the fact that the button called your lead out on the turn indicates he probably has your pair of 4s beat and I would doubt you're getting him to laydown. If you thought you were ahead on the turn or you just wanted to put maximum pressure on him then I think a check raise would get the job done much more often than a lead out. A check raise indicates more strength than a lead out here and it ends up costing you less overall. If the button comes back over the top and says he's stronger I think you can laydown safely knowing that you are beat and still have chips in your stack to play with.

move down in stakes. You should fold preflop, if you bet this turn (which I would almost never do on this board), bet more.

this is harsh, but probably good advice. i definitely agree with the hand advice.

There is a *BIG* difference between trying to get one player to lay down a hand and trying to get two players to lay down a hand. I'd like this play a lot more if you were heads up, but trying to bluff two players on that board (on the turn there were connected broadway cards AND two potential flush draws) just isn't going to succeed that often. Check and hope for a free showdown or a free river 4, and don't lose any more money on this hand.

I also agree with this being a PF fold, but I don't think the call is THAT horrible.

Take it from me. I make a ton of ridiculously loose calls preflop, but your call preflop just isn't good. You can't play 44 for anything other than set value unless you're heads up, and even then the situation has to be right and you have to have a read. The call is too much of your stack.
