Default Leaving the country

In two weeks I am heading out of the country on vacaion with my GF to Costa Rica. Call me a pussy but I am a little nerves about leaving the states.

I know just being a tool but is there anything I should know before leaving?

Should I look into and know all the laws?

One reason I am aproaching this place with caution is a stroy my Aunt and Uncle came home with after there trip to Coasta Rica.

They had rented a car for there vacation. As they headed out for a day trip on the road my Uncle was pulled over by the police.

The police officer had ticked my uncle and had police officer told him it requires him to be present in court on the day after he will be leaving the country.

My foolish Uncle had informed the officer he was leaving prior to the court day.

So then the officer then asks my uncle to step over to his car, Away form ear shot of my Aunt.

The the officer tells my Uncle $100 US dollars can make all this go away.

So of course my sucker uncle handed him a C note.

So how should I prepair for visiting this country.

I have already been to the doctor for all my vaccinations (3 f"in shots)

If you are in a foreign country and are being extorted by a police officer it is generally a good idea to pay the bribe money.

I would call your Uncle prudent before I called him a sucker.

Don't worry about it man, this happens all over the place, apparently the French are equally as bad as this if not worse.

Costa Rica is very tourist friendly. It's kinda "Central America Lite". There is no army, a lot of people speak English, and not many armed banditos zipping around on dirtbikes.

you'll be fine.
