I think under the circumstances, not losing your entire stack shows you played it ok.

I would have raised more PF since even a 4x raise at these early levels doesnt seem to mean much in these Stars MTTs. His call with 78 to an EP raise was more the questionable play. Again, the blinds are cheap and he was hoping to flop a monster - which he did. He got the dream flop against the dream opponent. I think he played bad by not getting all of your chips.

While there are a couple of hands he could have that are beating you, more likely 88 or TT than 87, you can't go 'round not betting the nut flush worried about them. If you have this situation 50 times, I bet you're winning this pot at showdown at least 45 of them. If you start not betting hard with the nut flush, you're going to be costing yourself a lot of chips.

I'd have played it just like you did.

Ya i had him covered... I sarcastically wrote nice call w/ 78 and he kept saying how bad i played it then another player agreed. Theres no way I could have put him on a boat.

You should have asked them what they thought was so bad with your play. The only thing I wouldn't do was to make a pot sized semibluff on the flop. But as he is still sticking with it and pushes (of course you have to call those last 115) I would get the feeling I am beat here. Only thing I can see is you played this really aggressive with huge bets. If you bet out like 300 instead (which will put him all in or fold just like your 500 bet) you can still get away from the hand to a push but it would be a tough fold for sure.
