Top Ten Notes to Take

I currently play 2/4 and have been able to get by up until now without taking many notes. I think that it is time to start.

I am trying to put together a list of the top ten notes that everyone keeps on their opponents so that I can create a list, memorize it (or keep it close by), and then simply have to put the number in the list rather than writing everything out. Obviously, I don't need to take notes on anything the PT keeps track of.

I have tried to put together a list, but I would be interested in other opinions.

In no particular order
--Will fold overs after limping and being isolated pre-flop
--Will raise/three-bet flop with 1 pair
--Will call down with top pair or better (Yes this still happens at 2/4)
--Flop donk bets means strength (My default is that a donk bet is a weak made hand)
--Will raise turn/river with less than 2 pair
--Will call flop on a ragged board and then fold turn UI
--Will randomly bluff
--Plays draws fast (My default is plays draws slowly)
--Will reraise with less than AA/KK/QQ/JJ/AK preflop
--"quick calls" = Draw

Anything else. Would anyone care to put them in order from most important.

-Frequent coldcaller.

-Coldcalls preflop, and folds for one bet on the flop.

Both of these tell me that the player is loose, and probably playing hands that are tactically incorrect.

- Rabid blind defender.

If they defend with any two, then I can assume that they probably don't have anything from the blind until they show some strength.

- Bets/raises/plays draws fast on the turn.

If they do this, one of us is going to get full value when I have a medium strength hand.

- Very tight in the blinds.

Then I open raise whenever they are in the blinds.

I found it difficult myself taking notes so I came up with a system to assist. Call it shorthand. Some players have found it useful. I find it very useful because in 1 second I can tell what kind of player he is instead of trying to remember that LP-P, LP-A, LA-P, TA-A and the other 20 abbreviations are.

I make a note when a player posts a blind in EP, or posts a dead. I associate both of these with being very loose.

Uh, I do all of these things situationally. Are they bad or just noteworthy?

None of these items are good or bad under situations. They are noteworthy especially if I see them happen repeatedly. I take notes on good play as well as bad. I am just looking to create a list of things that I should be taking notes on.

I would say that most players at 2/4 do very little "situationally". So if they play one one one time they are pretty much going to play that way all the time.

Coldcall is one of my PAHUD stats. and I think "folds for one bet on the flop" is too situational to be useful. perhaps it would be more useful to just make a note about the types of hands they cold call with.

and I'm not sure but I think you could program a blind defence stat into your HUD if you so desired.
