Default 20/40 live 4 handed little boat

This may be super standard but I really wanted to make a laydown on the river and didn't. He opened on the button at least 50% of the time and I saw him pull some trickiness in previous pots.

Same aggressive a bit LAGgy kid from my other post opens on the button and I defend my BB with T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Flop is A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I check, he bets, I call.

Turn is 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check, he checks.

River is 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I bet, he raises, I call.

Thanks for any comments,
DeathDonkey

I think this is marginal.

Would checking the river be better?

The pot is so small and I want to showdown, but I'm not sure if your hand is worth two more BBs at the river.

Also, if he has missed high cards e.g. KQ, would checking induce a bet from him, where you normally wouldn't get a call?

You need to interpret his turn check. Specifically, was it designed to induce a bluff? It sure looks like LAG made the aces and worries that you've got nothing and won't tag along. When you bet the river, he may occasionally raise a bluff, but I think you're behind very often to this raise. When you check, though, you should induce a bet 100% of the time which you can safely call.

Checkraise the flop. You're going to get freecarded so often by just calling.
