How would you buy-in in this format?
There is a weekly Friday game that I just started playing in with the following buy-in format:
1 $10 Buy-In 2 $10 Re-buys 1 $10 Add-on. Each gets you 5000 in chips. You can buy your re-buys up front if you'd like, add-on only after the first hour and a half. Also, if you still have your re-buys at the break, you can essentially add those on as well. Out of 25 people, usually on two or three re-buy up front, leaving most people with 5000 starting chips. Most re-buy if they bust, and most will do ONE re-buy/add on at the break. My question is, how would you play this? 97% of these players are HORRIBLE. Would you buy-in for the max and run people over? Buy-in double and still try to run them over and save 20 bucks? Buy-in for the initial then do all add-ons and rebuys at the break? What are some thoughts here? |

I'd probably save the rebuys just in case I bust out. Having more chips is nice, but if you lose them all to a bad beat it's a waste. I like to think of rebuys as 'extra lives'.

Hm... interesting format. I'd probably take a single buy and try to get lucky and double up. If I busted, I'd take both rebuys and play "normal". I'd always take the addon.
