I'd say its waaay too early to start the what's wrong with Daniel posting.

On the other hand, if he does end up having a lousy WSOP does anybody think it would say anything about the need for focus in tournament play?

How about the fact that these are the biggest fields ever? Or the fact that the pros are not the monster favorites they are perceived to be. Statistically, there is a very high chance that a handful of pros will eat wang in every event they enter.

Not defending the guy since I don't really care either way. Just pointing out that if you ran the 2005 WSOP a million times in a row you would always be able to make a "What happened to XXX post??".

i think negranu feels he needs to gamble a bit with the fields as large as they are. so he will probably get a big stack or bust early. probably a good strategy in the long run.
