30 / 60 Button Limp
I'm dipping my toes in the 30/60 pool on Party. I'm comfortable with the stakes, but not sure if I belong here quite yet, as I'm sure many of you will agree:
I know you would like some better reads, but this is all I have after about 100 hands on these players. Aggression is about what you would normally see from a strong but not maniacal 15/30 player: SB:23/10 BB: 10/4 MP3: 32/8 Party Poker 30/60 Hold'em (10 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 5 folds, MP3 calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, SB completes, BB checks. This is new to me, as I rarely ever limp in from the button, but it felt right here. The table had been tight, but the two blinds had been defending fairly well - I wanted to see a flop without getting in a dick-measuring contest or creating a pot that nobody could get away from. Flop: (4 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, BB checks, MP3 checks, Hero bets, SB raises, BB folds, MP3 folds, Hero 3-bets, SB calls. Turn: (5 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, Hero????? I'm going to leave the river out of it for now, as I would like to concentrate on the action to this point, and it's really not that interesting anyway. Fire away. |

Re: 30 / 60 Button Limp
raise preflop, you probably have the best hand and you get to attempt an isolation of a likey weak player. let them defend with crap, its still +EV.
to be honest, in spots like this i just like to call down (after the flop c/r). if he has some draw that he misplayed he will usually fire on the turn and river. it also doesnt take much thinking |
