Default What\'s the deal with 20/40??

How come everywhere I go 20/40 seems to be the weirdest/craziest game? I've played in numerous casinos where the 10/20 players are alright usually on the passive side but the 20/40 players are the craziest and sometimes worst SOB's around.
Recently I moved up from party 10/20 full ring to 20/40 and the quality of play is noticeably worse. Any thoughts as to why this sudden fall in skill? Just curious.

the 20/40 is much better then any level below it, you will find this to be true once you play enough hands to have a reasonable sample size... the same will be true with every level you move up from here on out

I have noticed this in live games a lot. I think the a reason for it is because 20/40 is often considered the borderline between low limit and mid limit games. 20/40 players feel they are now the big fish and play a more LAGgy style to show off their impressive plays.

I have a thought. How about we not post where good games are so they stay that way longer.

I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] live 20/40. I've played in great games here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, in California (Commerce, Bike), in AC (Borg), in Vegas (Mirage). All were lots of fun.

Aggressive games are tougher than passive games. I've played in both 10-20 and 20-40 games, and in my opinion, people wrongly equate loose aggressive play with soft games. Loose passive games are soft games.

I agree with this. However, in my opinion loose passive games are boring games and loose aggressive games are fun games.
