Thanks for the replies.
I'm afraid I'm not sure what you all mean by, "a stop and go" though I guess I could guess. Good advice here, as always. I feel I get a little less weak/tight everyday. |

Different from the No-Limit move imortalized by our world champion Greg "Fossilman" Raymer in the multi-table tourny forum. It involves raising pre-flop with a mediocre hand, then when reraise instead of pushing all in because you feel the opponent WILL NOT FOLD you simply call. Then you push all in on the flop no matter what comes. It gives you an extra opportunity to make him fold where he wouldn't have if you'd pushed the rest of your chips in preflop.

[/ QUOTE ] It usually involves calling a raise from the blinds when you have a decent hand and are shortstacked. I believe Sklansky wrote an article in cardplayer about it a while back. |
