Default Are the dark ages of America coming to an end?

May we just dream that in 2006, we'll wake up from the nightmare of the past 5 years?

My Santa Claus wish list

1- Bush impeached

2- Big loses for the Republican Party in the 2006 elections (not that I'm a fan of the Democratic Party; but there are not too many choices)

3- Iraq war over

4- USA respected again in the world

Nice to be dreaming .

1) Just not happening.
2) How are the polls?
3) Actually it may be cooling down significantly during 2006, not totally over though.
4) Takes way more than 1 year. To destroy a good image/respect is always quicker than to build one. Even here in Poland where they are generally very sympathetic to the US, the average man in the street thinks Bush is an idiot & madman; so a change of president is necessary.

I heard that in the most recent polls, Bush made a jump, but he's still < 50%.

By whom? The Party? Not gonna happen. It's like asking the mafia to prosecute its Don.

This presumes clean elections, which this country no longer has.

3- Iraq war over

Only when they move on to Syria or Iran.

That dream died the moment We The People allowed Bush to steal and defraud his way into office.
