Default Small pocket pair hand.

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is Button with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP raises, Hero 3-bets, 2 folds, MP calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP checks, Hero...?

Also a plan for the rest of the hand.

Table is the short 2+2 table from yesterday, very aggro thinking players. Everybody seems to be opening/raising with a larger range of hands than I'm used to, and I've been folding a lot PF since I sat down (this was probably the second hand I'd played, and the first didn't go to showdown).

Ahhh...I remember this hand

I'd have bet the flop

Personally, I hated the way we both played it, but I had to respect your raises considering the info you provided in the OP

I'd just fold with 2 or more overcards on a flop with a pocket pair, unless a draw came up.

My thought was that I'd be CR-ed on that board with a large number of hands that haven't paired up, and I can't call the CR with a low pair. My plan was to bet the turn if checked to, or raise any high card that fell folding to a three-bet or take the free showdown.

Is this getting needlessly tricky?

Edit: Also considering pot size.
