50/100 Folded to your SB, playing trash aces w/ >10xbb
5-handed 50/100 (level just started), stacks evenly distributed ~15xbb, folded to you in the SB with 13xbb, BB has you covered by a hair. The rest of the table is playing fairly orthodox, so taking a siesta while they knock each other out doesn't seem like an option.
Shove A2o here? How about K5o? Calling range is probably A6+, top broadways, any pair; BB is savvy enough to resteal so I'm hesitant to bump to 300. |

ICM Practice
I ran the ICM/math if anyone cares:
Pre-post stacks 1700 1900 1600 1300 <--- Hero in SB 1500 <--- Villain in BB FOLD EV = .1651 PUSH, No Call EV = .1809 PUSH, Win EV = .2906 Given Range: 22+,A6+,KT+ P(Call) = .1916, P(Nocall) = .8084 Equity of A2o vs. range = .36 Weighted Avg: [ (8084)(.1809) + (1916)* [ (.36)(.2906) ] ] / 10000 PUSHev=.1662 FOLDev=.1651 Bah, no easy answer. Please holla if my math is off, I'm a dufus with numbers. |

Re: 50/100 Folded to your SB, playing trash aces w/ >10xbb
OP doesn't mention what buy-in level this is at, but at the low buy-ins, I hate pushing A2 (at least with this many BBs) because you can't trust that BB's calling range doesn't include any ace. Given that ICM seems to say the decision is essentially a wash with the specified calling range, I'd shade toward folding at lower buy-ins and maybe pushing at higher ones.

have you been stealing a lot from the button or SB? if you have been he may inclined to call out of spite ... if you havent been, he may lay down Ax out of fear
id raise to 300 almost everytime in this spot, fold to a reraise, and be very careful on the flop |

A2o I shove, K5o I fold. [/ QUOTE ] Aren't A2o and K5o pretty much the same strength versus a random hand? |
