Default Hand vs lag that i thought i played well

Party 2/4. Villian is a mega lag and we have tangled in many pots and i am pretty much the only one at the table playing back at him. He is not so much a bluffer he just mainly way over plays his hands. I thought i played this well on all streets but wanted to post it and see what everyone thinks.

Pre flop: folds to me in the sb and i raise A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and the lag calls.

Flop: J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
I bet, lag raises, i 3-bet, lag caps and i call.

Turn: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
I bet, lag raises and i call.

River: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
I check, lag bets and i call.

Yeah, I think you played it well too. IMO the exact slowdown point is really dependent on the nuances of your read and the recent action against this type of player.

Looks good to me...

Although I'd have gotten a lot crazier and gone 3 on the turn w/ TPTK vs a "mega lag"...the only mistake you can really make vs a LAGtard is underplaying your hand imo

We had been spewing back and forth pretty hard up until this hand so i decided to throw him a little curveball. I guess the other alternative line besides 3-popping the turn would be to bet/call the river. My river check didn't scare me though anything he would call a bet with he would bet with so i knew one bet was going in there.

Yeah, normally against mega-LAGs I bet/call both the turn and river. It all depends on what you've seen him show down.

I haven't made it to 2/4 yet so this may not apply, but against a super LAG, I three the turn, bet the river and call a raise.

If he is as laggy as you say he is then you played it right.
