Default (Bluff)raise this river?

From the Super Tuesday. BB is 100. I have 1600. Villain has 3900.

He minraises UTG. His play has been reasonable but he's been liming a lot, once he openlimped w/ J7s in EP.

I have J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in EMP and coldcall. Heads up w/ 550 in the pot.

K66 two[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I check behind.

Turn 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. He bets 100 and I call.

River is an offsuit 8. He bets 100 and I.....?

Thoughts appreciated.

I wouldn't raise. I dont trust anyone on PartyPoker to fold a hand better than JJ on this river.

I just call. No need to get fancy this early against a random player.

I'm not even sure it's a bluff as I think you're ahead. I think he may have like 77 or 99 but I think those hands fold to the raise on the river. I think a K calls almost any raise here considering how loose you said he was. I think the only hand that folds that you are losing to is QQ, and no hands that you can beat will call. I think a raise would get the villain to fold but I don't think you need him to as you are probably ahead here. I don't think this is a great spot for a raise but I think it would drag the pot.

Well you have to call on pot odds alone.. the bets he is putting out seem real weak to have a king or a flush.. even if you are beat, you just call and see what happens...

just call, and take the pot sometimes. Also, I push preflop.

I agree. If I found myself in this situation at the river, raising would never cross my mind.

The call is a no-brainer. But I'm curious as to your thought behind pushing pre-flop. The OP mentions that he has open *limped* with a weak hand. But there was never a mention about mini-raising from EP, which is often a pretty strong hand in online MTTs.

if you call with your stack size you are almost always going broke to a bigger pair on an undercard flop anyway. so if you ever fold the best hand when overcards hit you are losing a lot. For example folding on a Q high flop to AK, or even worse folding to 1010 when they fire on an AQx flop. Basically I think the chips you save the times you are behind and fold the flop are less than the chips you lose the times you fold the best hand.
