only if he has two pair. which is why his PF play is important. If he always raises AA, KK and AQ then the you're less likely to get a bet on the river.

since he 3 bets the flop, it ruins the trifecta. you need to close the action on each street, not him.

you might have made more with a donk bet/3 bet on the turn as well, depending on the opponent, but with your line you lose less to a set if you can read your opponent for that - i guess it depends on how aggro he is.

...and chasing trifectas just seems goofy to me.
