Default Trillian

I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with this program for a variety of reasons. Can someone suggest a new messaging program that is better than Trillain?

This will not help me, as it does do MSN and Yahoo as well.

That is indeed what it does. There is also a free program out there called AIMhack that removes the ads without adding any functionality like deadaim

This is the correct answer, and it's not even close.

Seriously, just get gaim!

Gaim is a lot nicer/quicker than Trillian. Trillian has some semblance of file transfers working, so it's more usable. That's the only reason I use it instead of Gaim.

No. Trillian is it. There is no other.

CNET / download.com might be a good place to look for this stuff.
