Default Massive 5-10 pot (QTo)

(Live game)

BB has just recently moved up from 2-5 to 5-10, and seems pretty aggressive on early betting rounds, while usually passive on later rounds. BB is a fairly tight player.

MP4 seems like a fairly quiet and tight player also, and has only been at the table for an orbit or two.

Hero lost to MP4's boat a few hands ago. Hero has been playing for about 16 hours at this point.

Casino Rama $5-$10 Holdem (11-handed)

Hero is MP3 with Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

MP4 probably does have the straight. But if he's got Q8 or AQ or decided to get all fancy with AA or something about 3.5% of the time, you're making a bad fold when closing the action on the river. In a pot this size, you pretty much have to see his hole cards before you can be positive enough to fold for 1 bet.

One more bet with a pot this size I would call. You could be looking at aces or kings. Normally if you fold youll never know weather your right or wrong. ut with the all in youll find out.

This is a disgustingly easy call closing the action. BB is on his last legs so I can't really give him credit for a straight, and while I do suspect that MP4 has you beat, he raised on the turn in a possible attempt to knock out the field.

Did you seriously fold top two on this river? 26-1????

Your probably beat by MP4, but you're telling me he doesn't have a smaller(or same) two pair 4% or the time?

I was actually MP4 in this hand and was shocked when MP3 showed his hand to MP2, cursed the straight, and violently tossed his hand into the muck. I wondered momentarily whether his fold is ever good, considering that BB is also in the hand. I think the fact that BB is all-in makes this a call 100% of the time. If BB is not all-in, does it change your answer?

I've seen a lot of live players who just hate to put in that last river bet. It boggles my mind.

I'm calling here with my 2-pair.

Sometimes you CAN easily fold, like the other night when I folded a set of 10's to a river c/r in a 3-way pot when the kid's King-Rag flush hit. He's sitting next to me and says he's gonna 'be embarrased to show what he played'. It was obvious he wasn't coffee-housing. My set was certainly not good 4% of the time.

In games where people do weird stuff all the time, it takes a pretty solid read to correctly fold a pot that big.
