Default BB requirements

hi, my friend is playing limit omaha hi/lo online. He wants to know how many BB he should have for his roll. I gave him the generic 300 BB holdem rule, but i was wondering if there is any adjustment for omaha, less/more variance? he's also gonna be playing few tables (maybe 3 max) doubt thatll make a difference.

thanks guys

This thing about bankroll requirements is very situational bacause you don't have to just sit there at the same level until you go busted. There's an old poker saying that goes, "lose it fast, win it back slow". Meaning---If you are losing, drop to a lower level & grind it out until you get your BR back up again. If you lose at this level for a length of time, drop down again. By applying judgement to the situation, you can stay alive until you get good enough to beat the "big boys". It's not the most fun way, but it works. Good luck.

You shouldn't need as much as for limit hold'em since the variance is quite a bit lower. I personally use about 200BB but I think the guy at o8poker.com recommends about 120BB.
