Default KQo from early against a lagtard maniac

This one got me to shut it down for the night last night. Villain is Lagtard Maniac. Pops w/ T2o preflop and bets with nothing as an example. Occasionally shows up with a real hand. I went into call-down after he blasted at me on the flop. Talk to me, goose, this kind of player gives me the most trouble...

Cap preflop.
Cap flop.
Bet the turn and start thinking about call down mode if he pops it again.

This is the the bread and butter.

Kind of depends on exactly how big of a lagtard he is, but I'm probably showing down king high against him so I cap preflop. Great flop for you, cap it. I'd lead the turn and call down if raised.

I maybe consider slowing down if 3-bet/capped on the turn. You've got a great hand and this is a nice opportunity to punish the maniac.

Edit: Meant to reply to original post.

It depends on if he is a maniac in the literal sense that he will never call or fold. If that's the case then you should cap all streets. If his continual raising actually may indicate a hand...then you should probably at least cap and lead the turn.

According to your read, this is a cap preflop. You dominate many of the hands he's 3betting, and showing down K high might be good. If a solid player called somewhere, then I wouldn't cap, but since you have it HU, get as much money in as possible.

Cap the flop. Top pair good kick is probably winning.

Lead the turn, if he raises, then call down.
