NL$100 6max, bluff against ok player

This guy is not very bad. He is not good either though (he should obviously have raised more on the flop for example). 38/5/2.4 ,but more aggressive on turn and river than flop. His post flop play is more sensible than most of NL$100'ers, went to showdown 21% and won$ at showdown is 71%. All this after 75 hands. He isn't semibluffing on the flop. He has two pair/set/straight/flush (if he has a straight, he can hold a high [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] with it obviously.) Can I do this? Probably not.

(Don't tell me to not raise preflop, that's out of the question. Do feel free to tell me to fold to the min-raise and/or not bet the turn.)

Im folding very quickly on the flop, and I also think that you lost your 15 $, you cant win them all, let it go on the flop and check-fold it. Also, Im not raising before the flop but thats just me [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I think you have to fold on the flop, but I would probably have to see the turn, on the turn I check fold.

Why don't you save yourself money and aggravation and stop bluffing at NL100?

I agree. The conditions in which these kinds of bluffs work in NL100/200 are few and far between. Sometimes you should just let a hand go cause it can get you in trouble.

With far more sophisticated opponents, bluffs like these work, but then again you'd be playing against sophisticated opponents, which is not what you want. Making one with a flop full of overcards, flush draws, coordinated cards AND calling stations is just plain silly.

This flop hit too much hands 3 handed to try to bluff it against any opponent I think, not just calling station. Tough opponent are also able to call someone who raise preflop alot and bet into a lot of flop.

the call on the flop doesn't make sense unless you plan to take this pot away in the future. you're calling with 3 clean outs, but you could already be drawing dead.

i think thats what he may have hoped to do. that being said I don't mind this. AK, with A hearts could play this way, but thats about all I see doing that. No heart he obviously can't call. However, I fold to the minraise, he isn't showing too much fear on the flop, he could have a high heart. I just think its too likely for him to have a heart here for this to be a good spot

I agree with the call of the min-raise on the flop being retarded, but once I get to the heart turn, pushing is probably (marginally) +EV against this type of guy.

i guess since you had a read it was an alright bluff but generaly wouldnt that be a bad spot to bluff. your betting at a flop that has alot of things.. + 65$ for a 78$ pot.. wouldnt u have totake down this pot 1/2 of the time in order for it to b a +ev play??
