If you are taking a shot with less than 200BB then you are just asking for trouble like this.

this is wrong

Ok, let me rephrase. If you are taking a shot, then you should play a certain number of hands or have a stop loss number which is the maximum you will lose. I picked 200, but it can certainly be less.

Certainly, you are not going to learn anything about your ability to play cards at a new level in 60 hands. I mean I've sat at really tough 5/10 tables, but that doesn't mean that all 5/10 tables are nearly as difficult.

Sorry for the experience you had, it is normal though.

If this 60 hand spurt has demoralized you, you are not ready for 10-20. Not 10-20 in terms of how much money you can win or lose, but you are not fully grasping poker to be playing on this level. You'll lose much more in the long run.

PokerRoom doesn't have 6-max (it's 5-max.)

What are you smoking?

Pokerroom is not the place to take shots, from what I hear 10/20 will be much much softer on Party or Prima.

If losing 23 BB's seems awful to you then you should not be playing at that level.

If you feel like there is something very obviously wrong going on just because you lost 23 BB's then you don't understand poker and most certainly don't understand short-handed.

It is my opinion that you aren't even close to ready for 10/20...and that it's very possible you shouldn't be playing 5/10 either (since a 50BB downswing there would be quite likely also...and would be the same $$ as a 25BB slump at 10/20)

Perhaps there is some hidden jest here that I am too stupid to comprehend, but 23 big bets short-handed?! I wish my swings were as sweet as that. Try 200 big bets. I'm not trying to be cruel or anything, but this happens (almost) on a daily basis.
