Ypu played it fine though and losr as little as you could. The turn was the worst possible card for you, unfortunately.

Worst? Best. Gave me a million river outs. I'm not really worried about KQ, TT, or AT here.

is a line with a raise on the flop instead of calling out of the question?

What does a raise on the flop accomplish? I can find out where I am by turn action, no?

sure, had you bet the turn instead of checking. now on the river you're in a pickle facing a bet and a scratch-your-head mini-raise.

I think the call on the flop prevents you from clarifying your opponents hand. I would re-raise to 200 , if he has AK than your in trouble but that is something you risk when you play AQ.

After the mini-raise it is quite apparent you aren't in the lead.

Although I do like a "probe"-like raise on the flop.

this is one of the reasons i advocate raising the flop instead on calling.

Raise into a bet and a call? The call coming from a pf UTG 4xBB raiser? I'd rather have him define his hand on the turn.
