Default Would you slow down at any point?

Only 7 hands with villain. My table image is tight passive so far.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $1.
<font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, Button calls.

Flop: (10.50 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button caps</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: (9.25 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button caps</font>, Hero calls.

River: (17.25 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises</font>, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 21.25 BB

At what point do I need to seriously consider him having a better hand?

I'd call down from his turn raise, barring no read.

Thats what I was thinking at the time, but putting him on AA or KT seemed like MUBS.

Heads up is much different to a multiway pot. On a multiway pot, I'd say don't stop, because you don't have to be right nearly as high a percentage of the time.

Heads up, barring a maniacal read, you have to slow down on the turn. Good thing is, slowing down and seeing a crappy hand will give you a nice read.

I wouldn't put him on KT with the preflop 3-bet, when he raises the turn though he could still possibly have AQ. I think I play the same up until the river where I check/call.

So, given his PF 3-bet, would you agree that his range of hands is: AA-KK, AK, AQ?

I think we can eliminate KK based on the flop play. So our equity vs the other hands is 80% (AA, AK, AQ) or 47% (AA, AQ)

Given the fact that this is heads-up, and you dont have a read on your opponent, what is your reasoning for 3-betting the turn?

Checkraise the turn. If 3-bet, call down.

Not until he caps the turn. I check/call the river. With the preflop action like it was, I think you got unlucky and ran into someone with either a set of aces or the straight. I don't think the turn cap can mean much else.
