The Barry v Kenna and Mo v Ed hands should be on the first Poker Channel show, that'll get the audience in a frenzy.

Default Running the board... Ahhhh?

Why are they running the board on the river like 2 or 3 times. I don't understand this. Are they making bets on the side too or something?

It's hedging. They played it out three times for 1/3 of the pot each time.

How is this advantageous to the players? If your on a coin-flip situation?

To reduce variance on large hands, they sometimes run the river 3 times, breaking down the pot into 3 even parts. Mo usually runs the river multiple times to keep a player like Ed in the game.

It lowers variance.

It's not advantageous. It just reduces the variance.

It's rather easy to do, just make your post to that forum and let them have at it. I've been putting reminders the past couple of times there was the whale game was held.
