KK 40-80 against a talker

i get KK on the button and open raise in an okay 40 live game. sb 3 bets. he is an okay winning player who tilts a little and thinks im always fos. he is not educated about the game by any means. he is a little too loose and little too aggressive. bb who is okay calls. sb turns to me and
says "oh well so much for trying to isolate". i just call.

the flop is Q76 suits are unimportant. he bets, bb folds, i raise, he 3 bets, i call.

the turn is a 9. he bets, i raise, he says "did you flop a set?" and calls.

the river is a 7. he donk bets me and i raise again.

Based on his talking and river donk it looks a lot like aces, what else would he play this way? Probably AQ/KQ since he doesnt suspect AA/KK because you didnt cap pf, so I still like the river raise.

I think if he has AQ here more than half the time he has AA then the raise is good, if vice versa bad. If its close but you think he would play a boat this way some % of the time then I would lean towards a call. Especially if you ever pay off a 3 bet on the river.

Mike (I mean, mike), did you mean to write "talker" -- or "taker," in the way that Paul Phillips is a taker?

Typo or not aside, I like the raise as your turn raise could be a way of putting in the bets then rather than 1 then and 1 on the river. Do not four-bet OR fold to his three bet - merely call that.

This all begs the question as to whether you would get more profit by capping it pre-flop. This would maybe cause the SB to check, where the BB MAY take a crack at it, falling into your raise and the SB's inevitable check-reraise.

That, or you would bet the flop, SB would checkraise, you would 3-bet, he would call or four-bet and you would still maybe get the same turn and river action...

Granted, you don't disguise your hand that way - but, given your description of the SB, if he thinks you're "fos" - why not play off that as he won't give your PF cap credit for being AA / KK.

I myself probably just call the river. He is betting it for me and I don't know what hand he would donk the river but not 3-bet the turn with that I have beat.

This seems to reak like Aces, but perhaps he could have AQ. It depends how FOS he really thinks you are because he could be pretty confident with AQ or something else as well depending on the level.

If he's going to like KQ/AQ like this then...... then I like this a lot more.

I am curious if this is how the hand turns out. Talking aside, you played the hand well, but when you consider the talking you've got to be a little worried here.

Why not 3-bet preflop.
Then cap it on the flop?

no it doesnt. he'd 3 bet if he had a set. also they keep quiet when they flop sets becuase theyre too busy cleaning brick out of their pants.
