Wavefront LASIK
Just got back from seeing the doctor. They said my pupil was too big to do regular LASIK. Got a quote for $4900. This includes all follow ups and lifetime adjustment.
This is the same doctor that did Bill Walsh and Terrell Owens. Pretty popular in the Bay Area I think. www.scotthyver.com Is this a good price? What did you pay when you got yours done? I am sure it'll be the best 5K I'll ever spend tho. |

Re: Wavefront LASIK
I had Wavefront with the Intralase cut done last year for $5,100 total, so not unreasonable. Make sure to have Intralase vs the microkeratome (that's actually a knife). Its a shorter heal and less problems. My doc was Dr. Tooma who is one of the leading LASIK docs and has done a whole host of athletes and famous folk in the OC. And yes, it was well worth the $5K.

Re: Wavefront LASIK
I paid $4600 for my wifes custom wavefront procedure in march of this year. I went to DR. Boothe in plano Tx and everything went perfect.

Re: Wavefront LASIK
I had LASIK done back in 1998. I never had to have any sort of adjustments or corrections done. I was very happy with the results. The cost was $4,000.

Re: Wavefront LASIK
For any of the people that had LASIK, how long did you have to have your contacts out before having the surgery/consultation?
Im going in for mine next week with the Doctor who did Tiger Woods. |

Re: Wavefront LASIK
I had to have my contacts out for a couple of days before the measurement appointment, and then for like 1 or 2 weeks before the surgery (I cant remember which). You'll also have to do a regimen of eyedrops before and after, but they arent too bad.
