Default Induce a bluff here?

No real reads on opponents, it's empire the table in general has been very tight, but postflop play seemed pretty poor.

I had a feeling the opp might just lay down on the turn, so I decided to check and give him a chance to bet the river.

Plan was to call any river and obviously raise the J.

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, UTG+2 calls, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, UTG+2 calls.

Flop: (5.50 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">UTG+2 bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, UTG+2 calls.

Turn: (4.75 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
UTG+2 checks, Hero checks.

River: (4.75 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">UTG+2 bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, UTG+2 calls.

Final Pot: 8.75 BB

I figure if I'm not ahead I'm going to just get raised on the turn and lose the most, and if I am ahead on the turn, he's probably going to just fold and I win the minimum. By checking I get the best of both worlds: I win the most when I'm ahead and lose the least when I'm behind

You only lose the most if you call a raise and call the river. I don't mind checking behind on the turn, but its much more a "get to showdown cheap" than inducing a bluff.

When I saw this hand I thought you were just trying to get to showdown cheaply. I think this isn't really an "induce a bluff play" If it was, I dunno why you raised the flop...
