Tricky donk check-raises me

Villain is very loose and passive. He likes to get tricky though. He check-raised me on the river when I had top pair with his top pair and no kicker. He also check-raised the turn when I had a big pocket pair. I also won that hand.

Turn is a J.

What's the plan?

I'd probably check the turn to induce a bluff and prevent getting check/raised. What did he have when he check/raised on the turn before when you had the overpair? If it was top pair I'd just fold here once you do bet.
