$200 SnG. HERO's been tight. Has been folding the last orbit and a half or so except for an MP 11.5xbb open-push, and a raise to 375 on the last hand with 75/150 blinds. Got his stack from an SB OP with AJo for 9xbb.

Standard. I always play this, and 2.5x is a good raise as it doesn't jeopardize his stack if he decides to muck it to a push.

My slider is moving around as I look at the various stacks waiting to act, too big for him, too small for him, too big for him....push.

If I went smaller, I'd go more like 425 so as not to appear so weak to the bigger stacks.

edit: I guess I'm responding to the wrong hand now. I definitely don't open push the AT.

After the raise to 525 I imagine Hero calls any push, except maybe from a tight player B.

This is an honest question because I don't play any big games, but is playing two hands in the last orbit and a half with 8 players considered tight?

No, I suppose that would be something like average. However I was also taking into account the fact that Hero had been folding lots before the last orbit & a half.

I guess hero can fold if seat 2 pushes, but probably not, and I really don't see the point of this. Just push.

The one thing I'm considering is a sort of "go and go" move hero could pull if someone decides to call. But, I think in general, he's got more FE preflop by pushing and probably very rarely has FE postflop unless seat 2 smooth calls, which'll be a pretty rare occurence in itself.

Anyway, push.

Ok here we go...

First of all, before recommending a fold, I dare you to input this into SNGPT and find a range for your opponents where folding becomes correct as opposed to allin. Knowing such info during the game is v important, as its tough to figure out sometimes when playing so many games. In any case I look around the table and see the stack sizes and know immediately that folding is wrong.

So now that folding is wrong, is it best to just move allin or to make some normal raise? Im pretty convinced that a normal raise is definitely better than allin. Im prepared to fold against the stacks with 1400+, and its obvious that the smaller stacks have no FE against me, so allin and 525 are the same for them. The key is that there is very little chance of me getting "bluffed" by one of the large stacks, and thus Im happy folding if they move allin on me. Yes I may get a bit more than 2-1 on my money, but Ill almost surely be more than 2-1 underdog against those hands, and close to 3-1.

Folding is just wrong though.
