Suppose you are in a full ring game 10 handed.

(1) It's folded to you in MP. What do you do with:
Towards MP3 I might start raising some a couple more
a) A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] RAISE
b) A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] FOLD

f) T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] FOLD

(2) You are in MP again but this time there's an EP limper. Same hands:
This is way to dependent on who the limper is, against most A8s and KJ are raises but still depends
a) A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
b) A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

What's weird is that i think i'm a LAG.

I don't play online very much still, because i suck at it and don't enjoy it as much, but over some small number of hands i'm consistently like 30/15.

Back to the drawing board.

Why are you folding K9s from MP??? Hell I would rather raise it UTG then fold (that is how much I like it). Open folding from MP is just crazy dude.

Suppose you are in a full ring game 10 handed.

(1) It's folded to you in MP. What do you do with:
a) A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

50/50 call or raise. The 8 is on the edge of being playable for top pair value. If the players behind me are tight I am more likely to raise with this hand.

b) A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Loose game: Call. The 4 is a crappy kicker so I am playing this for multi-way action. In a tight game I fold it.

c) K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Raise. I can make top pair with a decent kicker, and if I make a flush I would prefer people with bare A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] folded preflop.

d) K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Raise. Play postflop very carefully if I get callers behind, especially in a tight game.

e) J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Call. I want to play this multiway because I don't like my kicker if I make top pair. This is much better as a straight/flush draw.

f) T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Call for same reasons as (e).

(2) You are in MP again but this time there's an EP limper. Same hands:
a) A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Loose game: Call and hope for a flushy flop.
Tight game: Fold.

b) A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Same as (a).

c) K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Depends on EP and table read. If EP limps with a lot of questionable hands I am more likely to play this one.

d) K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Fold.

e) J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Same as (a).

f) T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Same.

(3) You are on the CO and it's folded yo tou. You have:
a) 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Fold.

b) K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Raise.

c) Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Raise.

d) J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

50/50 Raise/Fold.

e) T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Same as (d).

f) 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Fold.

(1) It's folded to you in MP. What do you do with:
a) A 8 suited - raise
b) A 4 suited - fold
c) K 9 off - fold
d) K J off - raise
e) J 9 off - fold
f) T 9 off - fold

(2) You are in MP again but this time there's an EP limper. Same hands:
a) A 8 suited - call
b) A 4 suited - call
c) K 9 off - call
d) K J off - raise
e) J 9 off - call
f) T 9 off - call

(3) You are on the CO and it's folded yo tou. You have (my answers here assume decent players in the blinds):
a) 4 4 off - raise
b) K T off - raise
c) Q 8 suited - raise
d) J 8 suited - fold
e) T 9 suited - fold
f) 9 8 suited - fold

I had to look at the forum name again. Micro limit, right? Ok.

I'm amazed at how many are folding A4s first in in MP. (1B in the quiz) You've got to be kidding me.

1)
a) Fold (A8s)
b) Raise (A4s)

[/ QUOTE ]

What is this? Please don't say you value A4s higher simply because of the wheel potential.

Definitely not. A8s is less likely to be dominated, and you're even more likely to win hitting an 8 than hitting a 4. You might be able to say that A5 is better than A6, but A8 v. A4 is clearly in favor of A8.

[/ QUOTE ]

Especially against those that play any Ace. Not to mention a pair of 8s will hold up alot more than a pair of 4s.
