Default checking behind on paired flop

75/150

raise UTG with AKo 450

only BB calls (no reads, somwhwat loose stats after 40 or so hands) basically equal stack.

flop is JJx

he checks. i bet 40% of the pot and he pushed. this is a good spot for a check behind, no?

nah. taking that line involves calling the turn, and too often you will be shown like 33 early in these party tournies. I would bet more like 70% of the pot though generally,

70%? wow.

is that a normal flop bet for you with a vulnerable hand? what if 70% shortens your stack to a desperate point?
