Stars $150+$12 preflop decision
I'm such an unpolished MTT player, I have no clue if this is close, or an easy call, push, or fold. Need some thoughts on this - SB is completely unknown:
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (9 handed) converter SB (t2420) BB (t7400) UTG (t4653) UTG+1 (t9425) Hero (t3897) MP2 (t2795) MP3 (t4705) CO (t5765) Button (t5912) Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero raises to t600, 3 folds, Button calls t600, SB raises to t1500, 1 fold, Hero ??? |

Re: Stars $150+$12 preflop decision
thats a pretty tough spot. given how you have been playing and how he has been playing there are times its an easy call, times its an easy fold. given absolutely no back story, i will sit on my hands which are trying to push, and press the fold button with my nose. if you've been at all overactive, or he has though, given the stack sizes I'd play.

Re: Stars $150+$12 hand
i usually fold here. there are some factors that may sway me to push, but generally you should fold this.
edit: mlg stated said factors pretty adequately in his post above. |

Re: Stars $150+$12 preflop decision
FWIW, I used most of my time bank, folded, and the button folded too. I was thinking though, if the SB would've pushed rather than bet 2/3 of his stack, I probably would've pushed over top of him. Is that thinking flawed?
