Default Credit a higher flush? I hate 6-max

I've only just begun 6-max (<1000 hands). Haven't been at the table long.

Villain is 46/0/.38 over 24 hands. Doesn't mean much, I know, but it's all I've had. Hasn't done anything really unpredictable, but he definately loosened up when I got to table, probably out of frustration that I go after his blinds like shadow goes after free beer at frat parties.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (6 max, 4 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.

I hate completing, but the other davidson kid told me it was ok.

Flop: (2 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls.

He was passive, thought I could buy the pot, didn't.

Turn: (2 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls.

The chances of him having a higher flush are pretty low, so I go to 3. That's not too laggy, is it?

River: (8 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 12 BB

The board pairs, and all the aggression makes me think I'm done for. Should I have gone for 3 again? Any help is appreciated

Everything looks good up until the river. I really dislike your bet/call line. Given the opponent and the action, I check/fold.

I agree that bet/call is the worst line. However, I'm not so sure that check/folding is good here.

How about a check/call? If you bet, you have to bet/fold, especially against this dude.

Oh, and 6-max rocks.

Huh? Read the board again. You're definitely not going for 3, and I probably fold the river.

I'd hate to fold in this big pot, but I dont see us being good 1:9 times to warrant a check/call
